Ash Street Project

The Ash Street Project is an artist mentorship program that was created by Thomas Orr and Joanna Bloom. Each year, aspiring studio artists, career potters, gallerists and clay-lovers apply to spend the better part of a calendar year working in this collaborative community space in Portland.

2017 also happens to be the year that the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is being hosted in Portland. 5000-7000 artists, educators and enthusiasts from around the world spent the week in Portland touring local studios such as Ash Street.
